Programs for new staff
The University of Melbourne offers three important induction programs for academics new to the University: Academic Staff Orientation, Seminars and events in Teaching and Learning and Professional Development Workshops for Supervisors.
Academic Staff Orientation
All new academic staff are strongly encouraged to attend the University of Melbourne's Academic Orientation. The program provides valuable information and advice on making a successful start to an academic career in a research-led university. The CSHE also offers Teaching@Melbourne, an integrated series of seminars and workshops that provides insight into the complexity of university teaching, and practical strategies for enhancing teaching effectiveness.
