Provost Summit 2008

Melbourne's international character: The Next Phase

With most Australian universities striving to be international in character, how is the University of Melbourne positioned?  What are the opportunities and challenges in teaching and learning for consolidating and highlighting the University’s distinctive international character?  The 2008 Provost’s Summit, held on Tuesday July 22, focused on critical issues in relation to enhancing the internationalisation of the University of Melbourne and identified strategic areas for progress.

The Summit program featured interactive workshops and opportunities for discussion.  The main themes and outcomes of the day were synthesised into a report for discussion at TALDEC and the Academic Board.

The Summit is a joint initiative of the Office of the Provost  and the Centre for the Study of Higher Education.
