Provost Summit 2009
GRADUATING THE NEW GENERATION DEGREE STUDENTS: THE CLASS OF 2010
The annual Provost Summit is an opportunity to discuss a ‘hot topic’ in teaching and learning, of broad and current relevance to the University’s teaching community.
This year’s Provost Summit focused on innovation in curriculum design and teaching for the third year of the University’s ‘New Generation’ undergraduate degrees.
The program for the day:
- Highlighted the role of the final year in integrating teaching objectives
- Discussed ideas around undergraduate curriculum planning
- Focused on overall key graduate attributes
- Shared strategies and explore possibilities
The Summit featured interactive workshops and opportunities for discussion.
The main themes and outcomes of the day will be synthesised into a report titled Capping the Undergraduate Experience: Ideas for outstanding 3rd year programs. This report will be made widely available, contributing to the ongoing development of the New Generation degrees.
The Summit is a joint initiative of the Office of the Provost and the Centre for the Study of Higher Education.
