University of Melbourne Teaching Award Recipients 2007

Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Supervision

Each year, the University confers up to four teaching awards to reward excellence in teaching. Each award will consist of a grant of $25,000 and a trophy. Winners may use the grant to support any project related to their academic work in teaching and research.

Award for Innovation and Excellence in Support of and Service to Teaching and Learning (Program Award)

A fifth award, the Norman Curry Award, recognises projects or services that demonstrate innovation and excellence in the support of University teaching and learning. Nominations are encouraged for individuals or teams, including professional and/or academic staff members. This award also consists of $25,000 and a trophy. Winners may use the grant to extend or further develop the project or service for which the award is given.

The University extends its warmest congratulations to the 2007 teaching award recipients. The Vice-Chancellor will present the recipients with their award at the Vice-Chancellor's Colloquium on Tuesday 4 December. The Colloquium will also provide the opportunity for the recipients to provide their personal perspectives on teaching and learning.
