Xin Yu joined the CSHE in December 2008 working on the ALTC project, “Enhancing Domestic and International Student Engagement: Strategies for influencing attitudes and behaviours” with a multi-institutional research team. Before that, Xin worked as a research fellow at Monash University and RMIT University on a number of research projects funded by CRC, AVCC, and the ALTC. Her recent research focus is mainly on accounting education covering the research areas of assessment and feedback practices, the enhancement of professional standing of postgraduate accounting programs in offshore locations. Xin has also made contribution to two research projects addressing issues related to work integrated learning funded by RMIT University and continued professional development of accountants funded by the International Federation of Accountants.

Xin has a PhD from Monash University in Tourism Management. Her main research interests cover areas of intercultural competence, cultural mediation, assessment and feedback practices, work integrated learning and continued professional development.
