Connie joined the CSHE in 2006 as a research assistant to work on ‘The Preparation of Mathematics Teachers in Australia; Meeting the demand for suitably qualified mathematics teachers in secondary schools' which was commissioned by Australian Council of Deans of Science. She has since worked on numerous projects including ' Australian university student finances' undertaken by the CSHE for the Australian Vice-Chancellors' Committee and also a study of teaching and learning in first-year Chemistry tutorials. Connie has most recently been focusing on projects concerning English language in higher education such as investigating IELTS exit score gains in higher education and ‘The impact of English language proficiency and workplace readiness on employment outcomes and performance of tertiary international students' which is funded by DEEWR.
