CSHE research areas
The CSHE works across the spectrum of research and development activities, combining applied research and consultancy, longer term research projects, continuing scholarship and the public dissemination of research findings. As well as leading the field in Australia it is recognized as one of the world’s principal centres of research and scholarship in higher education studies.
CSHE staff are highly active researchers with an outstanding record of commissioned research conducted for national bodies such as the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) and the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
The CSHE has housed Australian Research Council (ARC) projects in the Large Grant, Discovery Grant or Linkage Grant programs since the ARC was formed. CSHE staff members are frequent contributors to journals such as Higher Education, Studies in Higher Education and Journal of Studies in International Education and have collaborative scholarly relationships with researchers in all continents.
